It's 1:08 pm by my watch.It's Thursday today.I am at home trying to compile this post. I work in CSC.I shuld have been in the office hitting the IBM keyboard to get some code up and runningon Mainframe. But I m not.
What ud have made me sit and write this post at this time? There are numerous.But one reason stands out.A few days back I was watching 'Titanic' on Star Movies.Remember the scene where DeCaprio is painting the portrait of Kate Winslet with only diamond necklace on her.She asks, "arent' you blushing, Mr painter" and Decaprio replies, "it's all about painting the landscape". That's focus.Focus of a painter, an artist.
We all are artists in one way or the other.And definitely needs to be focussed to get going happily in our life.Focus helps us to set and define our priorities as at any point of time in our life we may have a lot of things to achieve and accomplish.But it's only human to not able to achieve all of them with perfection.And this is where focus and setting priorities come up.
Remember the college days.Some guys would be too busy working to score perfect 10.Toiling day and nite to impress the Profs. Some would be sleeping all the day with bottle of whisky on study table, bunking classes, living on proxies. Some could always be found hanging out with gals or loitering in vicinity of gal's hostel.All were focussed in one way or the other. One decided to focus on studies, the other on enjoying life and the another one on flirting. Acceptable.
But yeah what was the rite decision? No one knows. It's the person himself who has to take that decision and that what takes him to a different route.But yeah u have to be focussed.That's the bottomline.
I remember when we would tease some of our friends in my grad year who had the penchant of always being found at Nescafe with one or the other gal.We would ask,,"Bhaiya, be Focussed.".And the reply ud happen to be anything from "I am enjoying spending time with them" to "I am testing her ATTITUDE" to "AM trying to FOCUS".Guys know what they r doing.Gals know what they r doing.Focus could be different.Both of them may live in illusions.
Focus is required to achieve some purpose.Purpose which unflolds easy going life for one. Fillers around that Purpose may not require Focus.
